Large Animal Ophthalmology
The veterinary ophthalmologist and staff have experience handling and working with large animals, especially horses. Dr. Audrey Yu-Speight served on the faculty as Large Animal and Small Animal Ophthalmology chief at Cornell University before she moved to Austin.
Our hospital is designed for small animals (dogs, cats and small exotics) but we can arrange for a large animal ophthalmology examination and even, if necessary, surgery at nearby large animal veterinary hospitals.
Our practice has the ability to do advanced eye testing, including electroretinograms, on large animals. Our electroretinogram system is portable and operates on a battery system. It is currently the best system available in veterinary ophthalmology.
